About the team

Stripe is investing in building out its Global Professional Services
team to actively engage all customers from Fortune 100s to startups to
help accelerate their adoption of Stripe capabilities. The Head of
Professional Services in EMEA will help drive our professional services
revenue, crafting our service offerings and working cross-functionally
to bring them to market. The team is responsible for ensuring that our
customers deploy quickly with high quality integrations. It then
partners closely with front line developers and technical leaders to
ensure our customers continue to derive strategic value from Stripe and
grow with us as our respective product portfolio expands. In addition,
as we master the craft of deployment services, help build the asset and
strategy that will enable us to scale through our partner ecosystem.

What you’ll do

In this role, you will be responsible for strategic leadership and
management oversight of the professional services organization in EMEA
in support of Stripe’s business goals. Reporting to the Global Head of
Professional Services, this is a high-visibility role that provides the
development of the overall professional services plan and setting the
strategic direction, performance standards, with a focus on customer
success for the professional services team. You will define, develop,
and manage all strategic service offerings and outcomes to drive and
support the end-to-end customer experience in close coordination with
the professional services teams in other regions.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute Stripe’s EMEA professional services strategy in
    alignment with Stripe’s global priorities across product, sales, and
    marketing
  • Hire and lead a high-performing team of implementation consultants,
    engagement managers, integration engineers and professional services
    leaders, who partner with our sales team and customers to drive
    adoption of Stripe capabilities to deliver business value
  • Cultivate a team culture that includes high ownership, customer-first
    focus, fast-paced, high integrity, and an optimistic and positive
    environment
  • Cultivate executive relationships with C-levels within our customers
    and partners
  • Work with engineering and product to develop product roadmaps aligned
    with customers’ needs, new market opportunities/requirements, and the
    competitive landscape
  • Develop business and strategic cases for new service offerings and
    drive consensus among decision-makers
  • Work across teams at Stripe to develop service offerings, value
    propositions and sales playbooks, partner programs, marketing
    strategy, pricing and revenue tracking
  • Report out on a regular weekly, monthly, and quarterly cadence to all
    key stakeholders, with a strong analytical approach and crisp
    communication style

Who you are

This role requires deep knowledge and experience in building and growing
a regional professional services organization, including building out
service offerings, recruiting and developing top talent, delivering high
quality services to achieve customer outcomes, driving negotiating
agreements, and partnering with product engineering on customer needs
and priorities. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated
ability to think strategically and analytically about business, product,
and technical challenges, with the ability to build and convey
compelling value propositions and work cross-organizationally to build
consensus. This individual will also have strong leadership experience
in building high-performing teams as well as have a deep understanding
of what will be needed to properly resource a professional services
strategy across multiple countries across EMEA, working with
stakeholders to develop a plan for ensuring the success and high quality
of our service delivery. A keen sense of ownership, drive, and
entrepreneurship is a must. An understanding of the economics of the
payments space and the e-commerce ecosystem would be a bonus.

Minimum requirements

  • 10+ years of building and leading high performing professional
    services and/or solution architect teams in a high growth technology
    environment
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate high-value deals with a C-level
    audience and positively influence the outcome
  • Professional and technical knowledge, as well as an extensive
    understanding of industry trends and the key players in the
    competitive landscape
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with deep experience
    presenting to senior management. 
  • Sound business judgment, proven ability to influence others, strong
    analytical skills, and a proven track record of taking ownership,
    leading data-driven analyses and influencing results
  • Experience working within a high-growth, technology company with the
    ability to operate successfully in a lean, fast-paced organization,
    and to create a vision and organization that can scale quickly
  • Highly organized, multi-tasking skills, take ownership, be efficient
    in ambiguous situations
  • Willingness to travel

Preferred qualifications

  •  Experience working in the financial services/payments industry

Pay and Benefits

The annual salary range for this role in the primary location is €199,800 - €282,000. This range may change if you are hired in another location. For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings (“OTE”) range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role. This salary range may be inclusive of several career levels at Stripe and will be narrowed during the interview process based on a number of factors, including the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and specific location. Applicants interested in this role and who are not located in the primary location may request the annual salary range for their location during the interview process.

Specific benefits and details about what compensation is included in the salary range listed above will vary depending on the applicant’s location and can be discussed in more detail during the interview process. Benefits/additional compensation for this role may include: equity, company bonus or sales commissions/bonuses; retirement plans; health benefits; and wellness stipends.
