About the team

The Brand Risk group develops processes, solutions, product controls and
detection systems to ensure compliant use of Stripe’s platform and
products, and protect Stripe and our users while minimizing friction. We
collaborate with partners across Risk, Engineering, Product and
Operations to design and implement best-in-class enforcement strategy,
and play a critical role in Stripe’s risk management efforts.

What you’ll do

We are looking for a leader to join the group, work cross-functionally
and lead critical projects to ensure merchants’ integrity. You will lead
a talented team of analytical subject matter experts, drive the
development of robust, global detection and intervention capabilities,
and identify ways to reduce user friction. You will set the roadmap and
the long term strategy for your area to achieve ambitious business
outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Drive and own a global enforcement development roadmap, and bring
    strategic leadership and risk management vision
  • Build relationships and partner with stakeholders across Risk,
    Engineering, Ops, Data Science, and others to drive the domain
  • Build expertise and deep know-how around Stripe’s policies, standards
    and requirements, as well as enforcement capabilities, tools and
    metrics
  • Bring a user-centric approach to brand risk management, and consider
    risk vs reward in all decision making 
  • Develop governance, escalations and decision making frameworks
  • Lead, mentor and grow a high-performing team

Who you are

We're looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be
considered for the role. If you meet these requirements, you are

requirement.

Minimum requirements

  • 10+ years professional experience in a related field, such as Risk,
    Compliance, or Trust & Safety, within a fast paced, high growth
    company
  • 4+ years of direct people management experience, and demonstrated
    ability to develop and nurture talent
  • Strong data analysis and / or technical background. You have hands-on
    experience using data, and worked closely with engineers and data
    scientists to build systems and / or deliver insights
  • An analytical approach to decision-making. You are analytical,
    objective and skilled at using metrics to drive decisions
  • Strong collaboration, communication, and relationship building skills,
    with an ability to influence stakeholders and leadership
  • Demonstrated project management skills and a track record for building
    and scaling programs from the ground up

Preferred qualifications

  •  Experience with SQL or a willingness to learn is a strong plus

Pay and Benefits

The annual US base salary range for this role is $189,700 - $267,800. For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role. This salary range may be inclusive of several career levels at Stripe and will be narrowed during the interview process based on a number of factors, including the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and location. Applicants interested in this role and who are not located in the US may request the annual salary range for their location during the interview process.
