We are currently looking for a Global Payroll, Americas and Process Lead to drive global payroll processes and Canada and LATAM Payrolls. We are seeking an energetic, motivated, solution-focused individual who can work well with business & technical partners and leadership at all levels.

This individual will be responsible for driving payroll operations aligned to the global Payroll Strategy, delivering world class Payroll. They will quickly gain an understanding of our current processes, identify & drive improvements, and work with cross-functional teams to define and execute programs which align with strategic objectives.

You will: 

  • Own and manage current in-country payrolls in LATAM and Canada, ensuring payrolls are accurate, on time, and in compliance with tax and regulatory requirements 
  • Collaborate with teammates to run global processes in an accurate and efficient manner with a keen eye on customer experience)
  • Own and manage reporting requests from internal and external stakeholders (Tax, Finance, Auditors, etc.)
  • Support payroll operations in new countries in LATAM as Stripe expands - this includes assessing and onboarding new local Payroll providers
  • Identify opportunities to standardize processes across US and International payrolls
  • Drive regional continuous improvement projects across processes, systems, data management, reporting & analytics aligned to our global payroll strategy
  • Communicate the priorities, partner requirements and sequential steps in operationalizing the Global payroll transformation roadmap and ensuring alignment across the organization
  • Establish and implement global standards and best practices for payroll services, including system evaluation and implementation, policies and procedures
  • Implement a process for metrics reporting and benchmarking, utilizing data to ensure the organization is performing optimally compared to other global organizations
  • Respond to employee payroll inquiries, providing outstanding customer service

We’re looking for someone who has:

  • 7+ years of experience in payroll (multistate US, LATAM and Canada)
  • Proven history of a customer centric payroll history
  • Fluency in both English and Spanish, with excellent written and verbal communication in English, including ability to interact effectively with all levels throughout the organization
  • Strong knowledge of payroll and HRIS systems, especially Workday
  • An incredible eye for detail – you frequently spot and prevent errors others missed
  • Advanced Excel experience working with large data sets
  • Demonstrated sound judgment and ability to handle highly sensitive data
  • Ability to understand complex processes and systems architecture
  • Project management methodologies and change management experience
  • Experience working in and influencing in a cross-functional global environment
  • Experience thinking strategically and also acting operationally
  • Proven record in identifying efficiency opportunities, proposing alternative solutions, and successfully realizing benefits of those solutions through implementation
  • Ability to thrive in a very fast-paced, high-growth environment
  • Experience implementing Service Level Agreements (SLAs), Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and performance metrics and monitoring for in scope activities
