The Payment Methods Adoption team maximizes revenue for Stripe users by helping them adopt relevant payment methods for their business and their customers. We own the end-to-end journey for users adopting new payment methods, and we’re responsible for building new product experiences that help businesses improve their integration, boost their conversion, and create a better payment experience for their customers.

We’re looking for an engineering manager to lead and grow a team of engineers. You’ll lead the team in brainstorming roadmap ideas, delivering novel user experiences, and ultimately, helping millions of businesses on Stripe grow their revenue. This is a unique opportunity to learn how Stripe maintains its reputation for great developer tools while launching exciting new product experiences. 

You will:

  • Work with engineers, product managers, and designers to develop innovative product experiences and API integrations that help users maximize revenue
  • Partner across the organization with marketing, sales, and partnerships to drive payment method adoption outcomes
  • Empower the engineering team to achieve a high level of technical productivity and quality
  • Manage an excellent team of engineers, helping to develop their careers with coaching and stretch projects
  • Recruit a diverse team of engineers that are amongst the best in the industry, from outreach through close
  • Contribute to engineering-wide initiatives as part of the engineering management team

We’re looking for someone who has:

  • Experience managing engineering teams with a proven record of building high quality products
  • Attention to detail in product and API design, able to work with and through product managers, designers, writers, and marketers
  • The ability to thrive with a high level of autonomy and responsibility
  • A proven track record of building highly effective, diverse teams over the long-term by driving end-to-end recruiting strategy
  • At least 3 years of engineering management experience
