Demo Engineering Manager, Solutions Architecture

Who We Are

About Stripe

Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. Millions of companies—from the world’s largest enterprises to the most ambitious startups—use Stripe to accept payments, grow their revenue, and accelerate new business opportunities. Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet, and we have a staggering amount of work ahead. That means you have an unprecedented opportunity to put the global economy within everyone’s reach while doing the most important work of your career.

About The Team

We work to push Stripe’s mission of increasing the GDP of the internet by focusing our efforts on confidently showing users how our products work, not just telling them. The Demo Engineering team is looking for a leader to build a team of product-focused engineers who are thoughtful about application design, high-polish user experiences, and creating reusable assets at scale to increase the efficiency of our global GTM motion.

What You’ll Do

You and your team will work on projects that span different products, technologies, systems, and processes that will enable teams across the globe to be inspired by how they can demonstrate the power of Stripe to users, and have the tools to do so easily. You will be part of our Solutions Architecture (SA) team and partner closely with SAs to build assets, including tools, environments, and demo code, that accelerate Stripe’s ability to deliver the best view to our customers into our ability to solve for their use cases and business needs. You will additionally set up processes to collaborate with experts across product, design, engineering, sales and marketing to build demo experiences that are current and world class. You will also partner cross functionally to build a roadmap of deliverables for your team and drive to execution. Under your leadership and guidance, the demo engineers will deliver quick results to have an impact on how we position our products to customers. A critical part of your role will be to enable the GTM teams on leveraging the products your team has built and tracking adoption to deliver value and define future deliverables. As a hands-on leader for your team, you will set clear product direction for your team, define priorities and KPIs, communicate and collaborate with leadership and cross functional partners, empower the broader team for adoption of demo assets, and own deliverables.

  • Evaluate internal and external tools that can accelerate time to value in delivering your team’s goals
  • Uphold our high engineering standards and bring consistency to the many codebases and processes you will encounter…Craft and Beauty are in Stripe’s DNA and we take pride in that!
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization such as in product, design, sales, and marketing to design and build demos with the latest and greatest functionality we offer
  • Partner with product marketing to craft well articulated stories and narratives to complement the demos being built

Hybrid work at Stripe

This role is available either in an office or a remote location (typically, 35+ miles or 56+ km from a Stripe office).

Office-assigned Stripes spend at least 50% of the time in a given month in their local office or with users. This hits a balance between bringing people together for in-person collaboration and learning from each other, while supporting flexibility about how to do this in a way that makes sense for individuals and their teams.

A remote location, in most cases, is defined as being 35 miles (56 kilometers) or more from one of our offices. While you would be welcome to come into the office for team/business meetings, on-sites, meet-ups, and events, our expectation is you would regularly work from home rather than a Stripe office. Stripe does not cover the cost of relocating to a remote location. We encourage you to apply for roles that match the location where you currently or plan to live.

Pay and benefits

The annual US base salary range for this role is $184,000 - $276,000. For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role. This salary range may be inclusive of several career levels at Stripe and will be narrowed during the interview process based on a number of factors, including the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and location. Applicants interested in this role and who are not located in the US may request the annual salary range for their location during the interview process.

Additional benefits for this role may include: equity, company bonus or sales commissions/bonuses; 401(k) plan; medical, dental, and vision benefits; and wellness stipends.
